There is a lot of bad press about general practice at the moment and sadly here at Eastham Group Practice our team are experiencing more and more verbal abuse due to the incorrect perception of our workload. We are here for you and always have been.

Below is a list of figures from 2019, 2020 and 2021, figures for how many interventions have been offered per month/annually by Eastham Group Practice, how many interventions (all types of appointment, face to face, telephone etc.) were not attended monthly/annually and how many of our clinical surgeries were wasted:

2019:

• 5,691 patient interventions offered per month
• This equates to 68,298 interventions annually
• 175 patient interventions were not attended per month
• 2,103 interventions not attended annually
• This equates to 140 wasted clinical surgeries

2020:

• 6,315 patient interventions offered per month
• This equates to 75,775 interventions annually
• 128 patient interventions were not attended per month
• 1,540 interventions not attended annually
• This equates to 102 wasted clinical surgeries

June 2021:

• 7,115 patient interventions offered
• 2,031 of these interventions were face to face = 28.5%
• 133 of the interventions were digital via E-Consult
• 75 patient interventions were not attended
• This equates to 5 wasted clinical surgeries
