Public Transport

The non-urgent patient transport service is only provided for patients who have a clinical need. The need is assessed by the patient transport bureau coordinator who will ask you a few questions to confirm if you are eligible. 

The Patient Transport Bureau contact number is 0300 111 21 31. If you are not eligible for hospital transport, the British Red Cross provide a transport service with door-to-door assistance for a small contribution towards their cost. They can be contacted on 08000 280 831.

It is the patients responsibility to arrange this transport, our staff cannot do this for you.
