How can I delay my period?

This is a lifestyle choice and not a clinical issue. Therefore we have reviewed the practice policy and safety concerns of Norethisterone and made a decision that we will no longer prescribe Norethisterone to stop periods for holidays as this is not a clinical need.

For anyone 18 and over Pharmacies are able to prescribe medication to delay your period. Norethisterone tablets are pills you can take to stop and delay your period. Norethisterone tablets need to be taken three days before you expect your period to begin and delay your period until about three days after you have taken the last tablet.
