Update: Urgent Prescription Requests Wellbeing Practitioners – Meet our team Road Resurface 13th December
It is mandatory from 24th July 2020, to wearing facial coverings in public. This includes GP practices, hospitals, public transport and shops.
We are receiving enquiries from patients regarding exemption letters for those who are exempt from wearing facial coverings.
GPs are not required to provide individual risk assessments or letters for patients who feel that they should be exempt from wearing a face mask. Currently, there is no government requirement for individuals to prove they are exempt from wearing face masks, if questioned, those must declare they are exempt to the person who is questioning them. Therefore, GP’s are not required to provide letters for those who do or do not fall under the exempt category.
